Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required

To be considered for the exciting roles we offer, candidates must possess the following fundamental qualifications and skills:

Qualification/Skill Details
Grade 12 Completion of secondary education.
Engineering Trade Certificate DIESEL MECHANIC, ELECTRICAL, or FITTER.
Planning and Organizational Skills Ability to manage time effectively and lead teams.
Computer Literacy Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Work Experience Requirements

In addition to qualifications, candidates should have the following work experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Extensive experience post-trade qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of mining operations.
  • Experience with TMM (Tracked Major Mining) and Underground Machinery.
  • Proficient in planned maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the mining process and maintenance needs of related equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

The successful applicant will take on a range of responsibilities essential for the success of our operations. These include:

  1. Upholding high standards for working conditions.
  2. Ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of all equipment.
  3. Coordinating maintenance schedules and statutory inspections.
  4. Executing both scheduled and non-scheduled repairs as necessary.
  5. Communicating effectively with clients and supervisors regarding equipment status.
  6. Leading and motivating a team to achieve production targets.
  7. Implementing systems to control work quality and output.
  8. Providing coaching and on-the-job training to team members.
  9. Monitoring budget adherence and managing expenditures.
  10. Completing administrative duties for record accuracy and compliance.
