About the Role

As the Manager: Analytics Engineering at Capitec, you will design and manage scalable data pipelines, optimizing analytics operations for data-driven decision-making. Your role will involve driving innovation in data integration, supporting collaboration between data science and BI teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of robust feature stores for AI/ML model development.
• Align data engineering solutions with analytics platforms, ensuring best practices in data governance.
• Foster collaboration and implement cutting-edge solutions to enhance advanced analytics at Capitec.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

• Over 5 years in data or analytics engineering, including 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to manage complex analytical requirements.
• Experience influencing decision-making among senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data pipelining tools like Apache Airflow and AWS Glue.
• Expertise in data visualization tools, especially PowerBI.
• Understanding big data frameworks such as Hadoop or Kafka.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• AWS experience is a plus.
