The role of a Credit Facilitator is not just limited to managing collections; it involves a deep commitment to ensuring financial health across a vast sales force portfolio. We are looking for an assertive credit professional, armed with negotiation skills and a strong drive for results. This position is housed within a leading direct-selling organization where the emphasis is on fostering long-lasting relationships and implementing effective credit control measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Control & Collections:

    In this role, you will be responsible for managing collections for assigned portfolios. It is crucial to focus on proactive methods that not only reduce payment defaults but also improve the overall financial discipline within the team.

  • Field-Level Support:

    Your expertise will be needed to facilitate payment arrangements and guide the sales force in managing overdue accounts. This support is vital for maintaining a motivated and financially disciplined workforce.

  • Strategic Input:

    Providing strategic recommendations based on field insights will be one of your tasks. You will support the implementation of credit policies and contribute to continual improvements based on real-world feedback.

  • Relationship Management:

    As a critical link between the Sales Force and the Finance Department, you will ensure seamless communication and collaboration, which is essential for operational efficiency.

  • Onboarding & Training:

    It will be your responsibility to lead the onboarding process for new distributors, equipping them with the necessary training on credit policies and financial management.

  • Leadership Track:

    With your eye on growth, you will gradually take on more strategic responsibilities, paving the way for a future transition into a Team Leader role.

Minimum Requirements

Criteria Details
Experience
  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience in credit control.
  • At least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong background in field collections, AOD handling, and credit system updates.
Education

Diploma in Credit Management, Accounting, or a related financial field.

Knowledge

Good working knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA).

Language

Fluent in English; ability to speak multiple African languages is essential.

Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Excel and credit management systems.

Attributes

Analytical, assertive, and emotionally intelligent with a strong customer service orientation.
