Role Overview

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for keeping accurate inventory records and supporting all inventory‑related activities. The role reports to the Inventory Manager and works closely with the logistics team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular physical counts and reconcile any differences.
• Monitor stock levels and alert the Inventory Manager to shortages or excesses.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and issuing inventory items.
• Label items correctly and store them in the designated locations.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Prepare inventory reports covering stock levels, usage, and discrepancies.
• Help implement and maintain inventory management systems.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the storage area clean and organized.
• Work with other departments to resolve inventory issues and improve processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in inventory management or logistics.

Required Attributes

• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for inventory handling.
