Job Summary Statement Aveng Manufacturing Lennings Rail Services has the capability to develop, manage and undertake
comprehensive track, construction and maintenance projects

Install and maintain wiring, inspect electrical components, Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices

• Grade 12 (N3 -N6)
• Trade qualified Electrician
• Wireman’s licence would be an advantage
Duties & Responsibilities • Wiring of Machines, installation of electrical components and systems.
• General maintenance on buildings & equipment.
• Keep H&S records and do necessary testing as required by law.
• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics and drawings.
• Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels etc.
• Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams and schematics.
• Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems and equipment using testing instruments and equipments
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments.
• Repair or recommend replacement of electrical equipment.
• Preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacture’s recommendations and manuals with a focus on maintaining safety and maximizing production.

• Plan, schedule and organize own work within the requirements of the work plan, and coordinate with other parties as required.
• Complete tasks assigned based on priority.
• Ensure assigned trade’s work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirement, company policy and statutory requirement
• Initiate and complete work orders and ensure timely sign off / close off for completed work along with relevant information and other reports as required.
• Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimize manufacturing interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures.
• Provide immediate responses to emergency work orders
• Provide trouble-shooting expertise as required.
• As required be able to work on site locally and internationally as short notice
• Provide daily feedback and report to supervisor on progress and work completed against schedule. Report on delays and recommend action to eliminate future delays
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork.
• Develop and maintain positive work relationships within the team.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required.
• Supervise apprentices as required.
• Responsible for keeping all tools and equipment used in an acceptable condition per the OHS Act
