Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for this internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A National Diploma, BA Degree, BCom, BTech, Honors, or Masters in Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, or Social Work.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years and must be South African citizens.
- Candidates should be unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in a government internship program.
- Applicants must be residents of Gauteng Province and have completed their academic theory, requiring experiential training to finalize their qualifications.
Internship Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for completing various tasks assigned to them within the Employee Health and Wellness Directorate. This includes supporting initiatives to promote the mental and physical well-being of employees, assisting with wellness programs, and gaining experience in psychological and social work services within the public sector.
About the Internship Programme:
The 2025 Internship Programme is designed to provide young graduates with an opportunity to acquire relevant workplace experience over a period of 24 months. The program will complement their academic qualifications by allowing them to apply their theoretical knowledge in a professional environment. The Gauteng Office of the Premier is dedicated to the development of youth skills in South Africa, with a particular focus on enhancing opportunities in Gauteng.
