Position Purpose
Deliver financial support services within the Department of Local Government’s accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage banking transactions and petty cash
- Perform cashier duties and supplier database maintenance
- Process journal entries
- Maintain financial records on BAS (Basic Accounting System)
Essential Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with Accounting/Mathematics
- Understanding of Public Finance Management Act
- Knowledge of Treasury Regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government financial systems
- Familiarity with Basic Accounting System (BAS)
