ECIC’s Finance Graduate Programme is designed to provide you with hands-on experience, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a professional finance environment.

Programme Objectives

The primary goal of this programme is to help recent graduates transition smoothly from university to the workplace. Through structured learning, mentorship, and practical experience, we aim to develop well-rounded young professionals who are prepared for a successful future in finance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a graduate intern in ECIC’s Finance Unit, you will be actively involved in managing the corporation’s financial processes, including preparing financial reports, processing transactions, and assisting with budgeting. Your key responsibilities will include:

Financial Processing & Transactions

  • Handling debtor and creditor invoices.
  • Processing creditor payments.
  • Managing cashbooks and recording financial transactions.
  • Assisting in journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Preparing monthly reconciliations.
  • Compiling weekly and quarterly cash flow projections.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting budget development and financial forecasting.
  • Contributing to the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Updating and improving finance processes as needed.

What We’re Looking For

To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A BCom degree in Accounting.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
