About Us:
The Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) regulates community scheme governance under the Community Scheme Ombud Service Act (Act 9 of 2011). Established in October 2016, we ensure fair administration of disputes within residential communities.
Position:
Adjudicator: Gauteng
Key Details:
- Job Type: Full Time
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law/BProc/LLB
- Experience Required: 5+ years legal/adjudication experience
- Location: Centurion, Gauteng
- Field: Legal Practice
Responsibilities:
- Manage dispute resolution processes within legal timelines
- Conduct hearings (in-person/virtual) and evidence evaluation
- Prepare legally sound adjudication orders
- Perform site inspections and documentation reviews
- Collaborate with Dispute & Governance teams
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
Requirements:
- Admitted Attorney status
- Expertise in community scheme legislation including:
- CSOS Act
- Sectional Titles Management Act
- Administrative Justice Act
- Case management system proficiency
- Advanced legal research capabilities
- Minimum 5 years’ dispute resolution experience (CCMA/Arbitration/Court)
