About Us:
The Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) regulates community scheme governance under the Community Scheme Ombud Service Act (Act 9 of 2011). Established in October 2016, we ensure fair administration of disputes within residential communities.

Position:

Adjudicator: Gauteng

Key Details:

• Job Type: Full Time
• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law/BProc/LLB
• Experience Required: 5+ years legal/adjudication experience
• Location: Centurion, Gauteng
• Field: Legal Practice

Responsibilities:

• Manage dispute resolution processes within legal timelines
• Conduct hearings (in-person/virtual) and evidence evaluation
• Prepare legally sound adjudication orders
• Perform site inspections and documentation reviews
• Collaborate with Dispute & Governance teams
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards

Requirements:

• Admitted Attorney status
• Expertise in community scheme legislation including:
  • CSOS Act
  • Sectional Titles Management Act
  • Administrative Justice Act
• Case management system proficiency
• Advanced legal research capabilities
• Minimum 5 years’ dispute resolution experience (CCMA/Arbitration/Court)
