The Road Accident Fund provides compulsory insurance cover for all South African road users. We support people affected by road accidents through our statutory motor vehicle accident cover system (excluding property damage claims).
Position Details
- Employment Type: Contract
- Education Requirement: Matric Certificate (Grade 12/NQF 4)
- Experience Needed: 1+ years in administration/claims handling
- Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Key Responsibilities
Claims Management Support
- Process stakeholder queries via phone and written communication
- Prepare and dispatch undertaking letters
- Maintain accurate digital and physical file records
Payment Processing
- Prepare payment requisitions for approved offers
- Complete authorization checklists
- Obtain necessary approvals per delegation of authority
Claims Administration
- Conduct duplicate claim checks across multiple systems
- Verify mortality status through Home Affairs database
- Coordinate file movement between departments
Technical Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Familiarity with claims management systems
- Knowledge of basic financial authorization processes
