Key Responsibilities

As an Administrative Officer in the eNatis Support Centre, you will provide essential administrative support in various aspects of the National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS). Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Support for eNaTIS Operations:
    • Handle hardware, network, and software-related calls for eNaTIS and driving license enrolment units.
    • Administer and coordinate aspects of new software releases for eNaTIS.
    • Assist with the establishment and relocation of NaTIS sites as required.
    • Update and maintain the NaTIS asset register.
  2. Administrative Support:
    • Assist with customer service and administrative tasks related to eNaTIS operations.
    • Manage office administration, including databases and records.
    • Support the procurement process and general financial administration.
  3. Collaborative Tasks:
    • Work closely with other team members, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and within the set deadlines.
    • Assist the Assistant Director with the smooth operation of the eNaTIS Support Centre.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • National Diploma or B-degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of administrative support experience in an eNaTIS Support Centre or similar environment.

Competencies

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Knowledge of the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996), National Road Traffic Regulations, and the eNaTIS system.
  • Skills in communication (both written and verbal), computer literacy, project management, financial administration, and problem-solving.
  • A strong understanding of office administration, information and record management, and government systems and processes.

Remuneration

  • Salary: R 308 154 per annum (Salary Level 7).
  • Additional benefits include medical assistance, housing assistance, and pension-fund contributions, depending on applicable agreements.
