The Gauteng Office of the Premier is offering a fantastic opportunity for graduates to apply for the 2025 Change Management Internship Programme. This 24-month internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in public management, political studies, and administration, helping you gain essential workplace skills to complement your academic qualifications.

Selected candidates will gain exposure to the field of change management within government, providing valuable insight into public administration processes and policies. The programme is tailored to empower young professionals with skills that will enhance their career prospects.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
  • South African citizenship and Gauteng province residency are essential.
  • A National Diploma, BA Degree, B Tech, Honours, or Master’s Degree in Public Management & Governance, Political Studies, Public Management, or Administration.
  • Applicants must be unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in a government internship programme.
  • You should have completed your academic studies and need experiential training to complete your qualifications.

Responsibilities: Interns will be tasked with completing all duties assigned within the Change Management directorate. These tasks may include supporting various change management projects, conducting research, and participating in administrative duties related to public sector reforms.

  • Completed Z83 form (available on the DPSA website).
  • Motivation letter with placement preference.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Certified copies of identity document, senior certificate, qualifications, and academic transcript.
