The Gauteng Office of the Premier is offering an exciting internship opportunity for recent graduates to join the Human Resource Planning and Transformation Internship Programme. This initiative is designed to help graduates gain valuable workplace experience in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology, and other related fields, all while providing them with the practical training needed to complement their academic qualifications.

This 24-month internship offers an ideal opportunity for young professionals who have completed their theoretical studies and are seeking hands-on experience in the HR field. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment, where they will contribute to various HR tasks, enhancing their skills and gaining essential knowledge to launch their careers.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Must be a South African citizen and a resident of Gauteng.
  • Required qualifications include a National Diploma, BA Degree, BCom, B Tech, Honours Degree, or Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related fields.
  • Applicants must be unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in a government internship programme.
  • The programme is open to students who have completed their academic studies and require practical experience to complete their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interns will be responsible for completing various tasks assigned within the Human Resource Planning and Transformation Directorate, which may include assisting with HR planning, recruitment, policy development, and transformation strategies.

  • A completed Z83 form (available on the DPSA website).
  • A motivation letter specifying the placement area.
  • A detailed curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Certified copies of the identity document, senior certificate, qualifications, and academic transcript.
