Office Of The Premier

The Office of the Premier in Gauteng is offering an exciting internship opportunity for graduates interested in gaining practical experience in Labour Relations. The Internship Programme for Labour Relations provides an excellent opportunity for young professionals to develop skills in the workplace, complementing their academic knowledge in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Administration, or Public Administration.

The programme is specifically aimed at individuals who have completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies by the end of the 2024 academic year. As part of this 24-month internship, successful candidates will be involved in various tasks related to Labour Relations, offering them valuable exposure to public sector work.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Must be a South African citizen and a resident of Gauteng.
  • A National Diploma, BA Degree, BCom, B Tech, Honours Degree, or Master’s Degree in relevant fields like Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, or Public Administration is required.
  • The internship is targeted at unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in a government internship.
  • Students who have completed their academic theory and require practical experience to complete their qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties:

  • Interns will complete a variety of tasks assigned within the Labour Relations Directorate.
  • The programme is designed to give participants meaningful, hands-on experience in the public sector.

  • A completed Z83 form (available on the DPSA website).
  • A motivation letter outlining the desired placement area.
  • A detailed curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Certified copies of the identity document, senior certificate, qualifications, and academic transcripts.
