Role Overview
As an Administrative Officer: NaTIS Training, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive training to all provincial NaTIS users. This role will also include supervising and coordinating activities related to the auditing of transactions performed by internal NaTIS users. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for performing user acceptance testing to ensure that the system runs efficiently.
Candidates must be adaptable, work well under pressure, and be willing to work irregular hours and travel regularly.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Facilitation: Supervise and coordinate training activities for NaTIS users in the Western Cape, ensuring all users are proficient in the system.
- Auditing and Supervision: Oversee the auditing of transactions performed by internal NaTIS users, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- User Acceptance Testing: Perform duties related to user acceptance testing to ensure the system functions optimally for all users.
- Supervisory Functions: Manage and supervise the team responsible for the training and auditing tasks, ensuring smooth operations.
Minimum Requirements
- A 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification).
- At least 3 years of relevant NaTIS and administrative experience.
- A valid Code B driving license (or alternative transport options for individuals with disabilities).
Desirable Qualification
- A Certificate in Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices (ODETD) would be advantageous.
Competencies and Skills
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the following:
- National Road Traffic Act (1996) and National Road Traffic Regulations (2000).
- NaTIS and NaTIS Security Policies.
- Project management and people management skills.
- Numeracy, computer literacy, and presentation skills.
- Accounting, finance, and audit proficiency.
- Facilitation and legal administration experience.
Additional Information
Shortlisted candidates will be required to:
- Submit documentation for verification and undergo criminal record vetting.
- Attend interviews and possibly complete competency assessments or proficiency tests.
- The selection process will adhere to the Employment Equity (EE) targets of the department.
