Position: Artisan Bricklayer – Workshop (Grade A)

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Minimum Education: Matric Certificate
• Required Certification: Trade Test Certificate (Bricklaying)
• Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
• Department: Building & Construction Services

Key Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993)
• Proficiency with bricklaying tools, equipment, and materials
• Physical capability for site-based work including ladder use and confined spaces

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute building maintenance and construction projects across government facilities
• Prepare material estimates and project progress reports
• Supervise assistant artisans and trainees
• Participate in off-site projects including maritime and Antarctic installations
• Ensure compliance with safety standards in all operations
