Artisan Electrician – UG Fixed Plant
Employment Type: Full Time
Minimum Education: Matric/N3 with Mathematics & Physical Science
Required Experience: 3-5 years (Underground mining experience essential)
Location: Limpopo Province
Department: Engineering & Technical
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and mining regulations
- Maintain and repair underground electrical systems including substations, motors, and power networks
- Conduct risk assessments and equipment inspections
- Supervise maintenance teams and contractors
- Maintain accurate equipment records and reports
- Implement cost-effective maintenance strategies
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Electrician Trade Certificate
- Medium Voltage Certification
- EB/Code 08 Driver’s License
- Underground Mining Medical Certificate
Technical Requirements
- Proven expertise in MV/LV systems maintenance
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical networks
- Experience with motor protection systems and VSDs
- Knowledge of safety standards for explosive environments
