Position Details

• Job Type: Full Time
• Qualification: Matric + Fitter Trade Certificate
• Experience: 5+ years post-qualification
• Location: Randburg, Gauteng
• Field: Engineering/Technical

Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct scheduled inspections of mechanical systems
• Analyze equipment conditions and prepare maintenance reports
• Plan and execute maintenance activities efficiently

Reactive Maintenance

• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
• Implement cost-effective solutions to minimize downtime
• Ensure quality repairs to prevent recurring issues

Project Execution

• Interpret technical drawings for equipment assembly
• Install and maintain utility systems (water, air, gas)
• Support plant commissioning/decommissioning

Additional Duties

• Conduct safety risk assessments
• Supervise junior staff and temporary stand-in leadership
• Optimize resource utilization and mentor trainees

Requirements

• Grade 12/N3 certification
• Valid Fitter Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum 5 years practical experience
• 3 years on-the-job training completed
