Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Fabricate and modify industrial equipment per engineering specifications
- Conduct precision machining using lathes, milling machines, and power tools
- Assemble mechanical components for pilot plants and laboratory systems
- Execute quality control checks and equipment testing
Engineering Support
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Assist with QA/QC inspections and subcontractor oversight
- Provide commissioning support for new installations
Safety Management
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
- Enforce safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Recommend safety procedure improvements
Essential Requirements
- Valid Fitter & Turner Trade Certificate
- 5 years’ workshop experience (3+ years post-apprenticeship)
- Proficiency in machining, welding, and mechanical assembly
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards
