Requirements
- Valid Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- 2+ years experience as Artisan Aid (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of SANS 10142-1&2 regulations
- Air-conditioning/refrigeration skills (preferred)
- Technical report writing ability
- Understanding of Occupational Health/Safety Act
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical systems in dams, reservoirs, pump stations, and infrastructure
- Conduct cathodic protection inspections and repairs
- Diagnose equipment faults and execute repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance servicing
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed maintenance records
- Prepare technical reports and supervise junior staff
- Available for standby duties and travel
