Requirements

  • Valid Electrical Trade Test Certificate
  • 2+ years experience as Artisan Aid (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of SANS 10142-1&2 regulations
  • Air-conditioning/refrigeration skills (preferred)
  • Technical report writing ability
  • Understanding of Occupational Health/Safety Act

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical systems in dams, reservoirs, pump stations, and infrastructure
  • Conduct cathodic protection inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose equipment faults and execute repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance servicing
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records
  • Prepare technical reports and supervise junior staff
  • Available for standby duties and travel
