Job Opportunity: Artisan Welder (12-Month Contract x10 Positions)

Position Details

• Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 Months)
• Education: Grade 10/N1 Certificate + Welder Trade Test Certification
• Experience: 3+ years in large-diameter pipeline welding (gas & arc)
• Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
• License: Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PrDP

Core Responsibilities:

• Execute welding operations on water/sewer networks (100mm-1.5m diameter pipes)
• Fabricate and install specialized components including pipeline fittings and structural elements
• Conduct safety assessments for excavation work and confined spaces
• Maintain equipment logs and complete job documentation accurately
• Provide emergency response support for system repairs
• Mentor junior team members and ensure OSHA compliance

Essential Requirements:

• Proven supervisory experience in technical environments
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and specifications
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and site work
• 24/7 availability for emergency call-outs
