Assistant Accountant

Company Overview:
TCTA is a state-owned entity established under South Africa’s National Water Act. We specialize in financing and implementing bulk raw water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly financial reconciliations including preparation, issue resolution, and reporting
  • Maintain fixed asset register for all organizational movable assets
  • Handle invoicing processes and month/year-end journal entries
  • Support accounting team as backup for Bookkeeper/Accountant roles
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Participate in year-end financial reporting processes

Requirements:

  • BCom/BTech in Accounting or Financial Accounting
  • 5+ years’ overall experience with 3+ years in accounting/asset management
  • Proficiency in IFRS, PFMA, and asset management policies
  • Experience with Sage300 and Oracle financial systems
