Position Overview

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Western Cape, South Africa

Experience Required: 5+ years (Management experience in contract catering preferred)

Education: Culinary Diploma / Tertiary Qualification in Related Field

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record in managing full-service catering contracts
  • Strong culinary skills with retail food service experience
  • Demonstrated skills in:
    • Financial analysis and budgeting
    • Team leadership and performance management
    • Quality control and hygiene standards
    • Inventory management and cost control
  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations including meal preparation, presentation, and sanitation
  • Manage food costing, menu planning, and stock rotation protocols
  • Lead team training programs for service excellence
  • Maintain compliance with health/safety regulations and company standards
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks
  • Handle client relations and service delivery oversight
