Position Summary
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Free State
Experience Required: 5-10 years (Minimum 3 years in quality construction management)
Education: Matric + Civil Engineering Diploma (or equivalent)
Core Responsibilities
Construction Oversight
- Execute scheduled site inspections and verify property layouts
- Ensure structural compliance with approved specifications and NHBRC standards
- Verify quality of foundation work, roofing installations, and utility systems
Infrastructure Management
- Inspect civil works including roads, drainage, and service installations
- Monitor compliance with technical specifications and standard practices
Quality Assurance
- Coordinate with NHBRC on compliance matters
- Manage snagging processes and final project sign-offs
- Resolve construction issues with contractors proactively
Essential Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comprehensive understanding of building regulations and safety standards
- Strong technical blueprint interpretation skills
