Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop software systems including databases, user interfaces, and services
- Maintain existing software through updates and bug resolution
- Create technical documentation and training materials
- Develop new technologies and text processing solutions
- Provide technical support and system optimization
Essential Qualifications
- NQF Level 6 Diploma in Language Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: PERL, Python, R, C-family, Java
Preferred Skills
- Experience with text processing and corpus creation
- Web development experience
- Lexical database development background
