Position Details

Location Hartenbos
Salary R8,000 – R13,000 per month (based on experience)
Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

Requirements for the Bookkeeper Position

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
  • An accounting qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper

  • Process various financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Maintain general ledger entries and resolve any financial discrepancies.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage both accounts payable and receivable effectively.
  • Compile and interpret financial reports to aid decision-making.
  • Support tax preparations and audits as necessary.
  • Administer payroll processes, including EMP201 returns and issuing IRP5 certificates.
