Business Intelligence Analyst Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across our organization. This position involves working with significant datasets to extract valuable insights that support strategic objectives. You will be responsible for owning projects from inception to completion, creating value by addressing both clients’ and business challenges through data.

Core Responsibilities

Your primary duties include:

• Analyzing complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Creating reports and visualizations that present data in a clear, user-friendly format.
• Staying updated with industry trends and analytical tools to enhance business intelligence capabilities.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Statistics.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience:

• At least 4 years as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role (data analyst, etc.), with experience in data analytics, BI tools, and data lifecycle processes.
• Proven ability to identify, quantify, and deliver business value through data analysis.
• Experience engaging with various stakeholders effectively.
• Proficient in utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Skilled in creating data visualizations using tools like Power BI.
• Experienced in using SQL for data preparation and analysis.

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with low/no code AutoML and modeling tools such as Power BI or AWS Sagemaker.
• Fundamentals of design thinking, dimensional modeling, and data privacy regulations.
• An understanding of data quality management and agile project methodologies.

Ideal Qualities:

• Previous experience in business analysis within the banking sector.
• Acquainted with change management principles and practices.
