Education Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems
• Certification in Business Analysis

Ideal Qualifications

• Certification in AWS Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Architecture

Knowledge and Experience

Knowledge

Minimum Knowledge Requirements:

• Enterprise-level data warehousing
• Cloud data estates (e.g., AWS and Azure)
• Fundamentals of cluster computing (e.g., Big Data)
• Data governance and management practices
• Understanding of data protection regulations
• Financial systems and procedures
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps methodologies
• Conceptual data modeling techniques
• Basic data analysis with SQL (PostgresSQL)
• Data visualization concepts
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Database structure and design knowledge

Ideal Knowledge Requirements:

• Experience working in a banking systems environment
• Strong understanding of the banking business model
• Familiarity with Agile development life cycles
• Expertise in database design and quality assurance
• Experience with Amazon Redshift

Experience

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• At least 5 years of proven experience in information systems, specifically in business intelligence and data warehousing
• At least 5 years of experience drafting Business Requirement Specifications/Documents and translating these for business and functional stakeholders
• Experience in Business Analysis employing various techniques such as conceptual models, ERD, test cases, data flows, UML models, and business process flows
• Adept in performing data analysis to assess impacts and determine next steps
• Able to identify and classify data exposure risks according to relevant legislation

Ideal Experience Requirements:

• Able to perform data analysis to evaluate impacts on broader organizational frameworks and goals
• Relevant business domain knowledge in sectors such as credit
• Experience in Business Information Business Analysis within finance/banking environments
