Role Overview:
The Go-To-Market (GTM) Manager will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business strategy and customer needs. The position involves developing and executing a tailored Go-To-Market plan that aligns with the overall business objectives and regional targets. By managing marketing activities across diverse consumer segments and regions, the GTM Manager will drive sales, enhance customer loyalty, and help grow Cell C’s market share in various channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. GTM Strategy Execution:
- Implement the Customer Business Unit (CBU) Sales & Distribution (S&D) and Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) strategies across the region.
- Tailor marketing activities using traditional, segment, and trade marketing strategies to meet sales targets.
- Work closely with regional managers and sales teams to identify opportunities for growth, revenue generation, and market share expansion.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate regional and cluster promotions, aligning with the company’s objectives.
- Conduct post-campaign evaluations through ROI and Post Implementation Review (PIR) reports.
- Implement customer experience strategies and monitor the execution of these within regional clusters.
2. Channel & Partner Management:
- Maintain and manage relationships with trade partners, acting as the first point of contact for escalations.
- Ensure adherence to operational standards in stores, including branding, stock levels, training, and customer query resolution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies for improving product performance and identifying new market opportunities.
3. Product & Market Intelligence:
- Keep up to date with competitors’ products and industry activities to provide valuable insights.
- Regularly review and refresh the product portfolio to ensure alignment with market trends and customer demands.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customer base, revenue, market share, and channel performance to provide actionable insights.
4. Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the yearly budget for Go-To-Market activities within the region.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and maintain strict budget tracking and reporting.
- Ensure appropriate expenditure approvals and provide recommendations for any necessary budget adjustments.
5. Staff Management & Development:
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve departmental objectives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Provide mentorship, career development opportunities, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Manage recruitment, assign tasks, and oversee staff development programs to maintain a highly competent team.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Requirements: A graduate degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management, Commerce, or IT.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field within a medium-to-large-sized company.
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing or product management.
- A minimum of 2 years at a managerial level, overseeing a team.
