Minimum Qualification: Masters Degree (NQF7) in Plant Production/Horticulture/Agronomy
Experience Required: 8 years post-qualification field management experience
Location: Mpumalanga (Primary base with national travel requirements)

Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee gene bank operations across multiple ARC research stations nationwide
- Coordinate field/nursery management teams and resource allocation
- Manage project budgets and prepare technical reports for stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive genetic database systems
- Develop improved conservation techniques and research initiatives
- Supervise technical staff and conduct capacity-building programs
- Engage with agricultural stakeholders and present research findings
Essential Requirements:
- Proven expertise in crop production systems and farm management
- Advanced knowledge of irrigation practices and pest management
- Demonstrated project coordination and financial management skills
- National-level collaboration experience in agricultural sector
- Valid EB driver’s license with extensive travel capability
- Proficiency in database management and reporting software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional registration with scientific body
- Record of scientific publications
- Experience in subtropical fruit cultivation
