Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure the secure transportation, loading, and offloading of seafood products while adhering to food safety, quality standards, and timely delivery schedules.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Valid Code 14 Driver’s license with no endorsements
• Experience with cold store trucks is advantageous
• Proven track record of 3-5 years operating a truck in compliance with Code 14 requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance
• Drive safely and adhere to road regulations
• Maintain the security of goods in transit
• Follow scheduled delivery routes and times
• Ensure delivery notes and invoices are accurately completed
• Comply with customer and supplier delivery area protocols
• Uphold Food Safety and Quality procedures at all times
• Assist with manual loading/offloading of stock when required
• Report any delays or inability to meet delivery targets to the line manager promptly
