Position Overview:

We seek a qualified legal professional to oversee corporate governance and provide strategic legal counsel for our public transport operations.

Key Details:

• Job Type: Full Time
• Experience: 5-10 years
• Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
• Required Education: LLB Degree
• Professional Registration: Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (CGISA) or equivalent

Minimum Requirements:

• Admitted Attorney/Advocate with active LPC certification
• 5+ years governance/board secretariat experience
• Expertise in Companies Act, King IV, MFMA, and PFMA
• Experience with public transport/infrastructure sectors (advantageous)
• Proven track record in compliance reporting and risk management

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance on governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance
• Manage stakeholder relations with regulatory bodies and municipal partners
• Oversee board governance processes and CIPC compliance
• Lead corporate strategy development as EXCO member
• Direct litigation management and procurement dispute resolutions
