Position Details

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Experience: 3+ years in claims adjudication
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Legal or related field
Key Responsibilities
Claims Assessment
- Evaluate loss of support claims against established standards
- Analyze financial documents to verify deceased’s support obligations
- Apply legal precedents and statutory limits to determine compensation
- Review actuarial reports and initiate calculations when required
Quality Assurance
- Research and apply relevant legislation and policies
- Maintain high standards in claims processing
- Implement risk management procedures
Administration & Reporting
- Handle correspondence and documentation
- Prepare reports and technical briefs
- Monitor and report on operational targets
Stakeholder Relations
- Manage queries and provide timely resolutions
- Maintain positive relationships with all parties
- Communicate updates within defined timelines
Requirements
- Legal qualification with 3 years’ claims experience
- Strong understanding of personal injury law
- Analytical skills for financial document review
- Knowledge of actuarial principles (advantageous)
