We manage 1.6 billion liters of potable water daily through a 12,369 km distribution network, 128 reservoirs, and 37 pump stations, while maintaining compliance with environmental standards.

Position Summary

We seek a seasoned Contract Manager to oversee legal compliance, contract development, and procurement processes for infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in construction law and public sector procurement frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement contract guidelines aligned with MFMA/PFMA regulations and company policies
  • Draft and review contracts (JBCC/NEC/FIDIC/GCC) for capital and operational projects
  • Manage legal compliance of tender documents and service provider agreements
  • Oversee contract performance monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Collaborate on budget planning and operational strategy for the Contract Management Unit
  • Prepare compliance reports and maintain legal registers for capital expenditure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Law or LLB with construction contract experience
  • Eligible for registration with Arbitration South Africa
  • 12+ years in infrastructure project contract management
  • Expertise in MFMA/PFMA, SCM, and public sector procurement
  • Proficiency in NEC, JBCC, FIDIC, and GCC frameworks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
