Are you an assertive credit professional with a strong background in field collections and an exceptional talent for negotiation? A leading direct-selling organization is on the lookout for a Credit Facilitator who can oversee the entire credit control function across a diverse sales force portfolio. This dynamic role emphasizes managing debt in the field, monitoring accounts, and fostering relationships. We are seeking a high-potential individual eager to evolve—you will find this role is specifically structured to lead into a Team Leader position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Control & Collections: You will manage proactive collections for your assigned portfolios, with a keen focus on minimizing payment defaults and improving financial discipline.
  • Field-Level Support: Facilitate payment arrangements (AODs) and offer guidance to the sales force on addressing overdue accounts.
  • Strategic Input: Your task will include supporting the implementation of credit policies and providing recommendations based on feedback from the field.
  • Relationship Management: Act as a vital link between the Sales Force and Finance Department, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Onboarding & Training: Lead the onboarding process for new distributors and provide comprehensive training on credit policies and financial management.
  • Leadership Track: Gradually assume strategic responsibilities with the goal of transitioning into a Team Lead role.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit control.
    • At least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
    • Strong background in field collections, handling AOD, and updating credit systems.
  • Education: A Diploma in Credit Management, Accounting, or a related financial field.
  • Knowledge: A good working knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA).
  • Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in multiple African languages is essential in this environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and credit management systems.
  • Attributes: You should be analytical, assertive, emotionally intelligent, and possess a strong customer service orientation.
