A prominent organization in direct selling is looking to hire a Credit Facilitator who will handle the entire credit control function across a varied sales force portfolio. This role aims to minimize defaults and ensure timely payments while maintaining robust relationships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility Description
Credit Control & Collections Oversee proactive collections for assigned accounts to diminish payment defaults and foster financial accountability.
Field-Level Support Assist in arranging payments (AODs) and provide necessary advice to the sales force regarding managing overdue accounts.
Strategic Input Contribute to the implementation of credit policies and offer suggestions for policy revisions based on feedback from the field.
Relationship Management Serve as a vital bridge between the Sales Force and Finance Department, ensuring effective communication channels.
Onboarding & Training Lead the training for new distributors, focusing on credit policies and efficient financial management practices.
Leadership Track Gradually assume more strategic responsibilities aimed at transitioning into a Team Leader position.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years’ experience in credit control.
    • A minimum of 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
    • Strong expertise in field collections, AOD management, and updating credit systems.
  • Education: Diploma in Credit Management, Accounting, or a related financial field.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the National Credit Act (NCA).
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of multiple African languages is essential for effective communication.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and various credit management systems.
  • Attributes: Analytical mindset, assertive personality, and high emotional intelligence, complemented by a strong customer service focus.
