Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Proven experience in an IT technician role or a similar position.
- A qualification in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional are advantageous.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of various computer systems and networks.
- Proficient understanding of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- An energetic and positive work attitude.
- A clear criminal record.
Key Responsibilities:
As the IT Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Installing and maintaining computer systems and networks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Training users to safely and efficiently operate IT systems.
- Setting up workstations with necessary hardware, including routers and printers.
- Checking and ensuring the functionality of computer hardware, including HDDs, mice, and keyboards.
- Installing and configuring software to meet specific requirements.
- Managing and optimizing local network performance.
- Safeguarding the security and privacy of networks and systems.
- Providing guidance and support to users on new software and equipment.
- Scheduling and organizing system upgrades and maintenance without disrupting workflow.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including repairing or replacing components.
- Keeping detailed logs of repairs, fixes, and scheduled maintenance.
- Identifying and addressing shortages in computer or network equipment.
- A strong personal commitment to education and alignment with the values and ethos of the school.
