Curro Westbrook is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team, providing behind-the-scenes support to ensure the smooth operation of their educational services. Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

• Proven experience in an IT technician role or a similar position.
• A qualification in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional are advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of various computer systems and networks.
• Proficient understanding of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• An energetic and positive work attitude.
• A clear criminal record.

Key Responsibilities:

As the IT Technician, your primary duties will include:

• Installing and maintaining computer systems and networks to ensure optimal functionality.
• Training users to safely and efficiently operate IT systems.
• Setting up workstations with necessary hardware, including routers and printers.
• Checking and ensuring the functionality of computer hardware, including HDDs, mice, and keyboards.
• Installing and configuring software to meet specific requirements.
• Managing and optimizing local network performance.
• Safeguarding the security and privacy of networks and systems.
• Providing guidance and support to users on new software and equipment.
• Scheduling and organizing system upgrades and maintenance without disrupting workflow.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including repairing or replacing components.
• Keeping detailed logs of repairs, fixes, and scheduled maintenance.
• Identifying and addressing shortages in computer or network equipment.
• A strong personal commitment to education and alignment with the values and ethos of the school.
