Organization Overview:
The National Development Agency (NDA) is a South African government entity established in 1999 to address poverty through strategic interventions. We collaborate with stakeholders to empower communities and civil society organizations (CSOs).

Position Details:

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies/Social Sciences
  • Preferred Skills: Project management training is advantageous
  • Location: Gauteng (Namaqua District focus)
  • Field: Project Management

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in community development or social work
  • Proficiency in local languages of Namaqua District
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrated training facilitation skills

Key Responsibilities:

CSO Mobilization & Support

  • Conduct community outreach to identify CSO/cooperative needs
  • Develop community profiles and resource mapping reports
  • Facilitate registration assistance and organizational structure development
  • Coordinate networking events and stakeholder collaborations
  • Maintain updated CSO database for assigned districts

Capacity Building

  • Design and implement targeted training programs
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to CSOs/cooperatives
  • Monitor program effectiveness and submission compliance
  • Partner with local institutions for specialized skill development

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly performance reports with supporting documentation
  • Track capacity building outcomes and operational metrics
