Role Purpose

Automate and maintain DevOps processes for software platforms, infrastructure, and high-performance computing systems within our engineering division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and support CI/CD pipelines for production systems
  • Design DevOps solutions for next-generation astronomy infrastructure
  • Maintain logging/monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Manage container orchestration (Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible)
  • Configure high-performance computing environments
  • Create technical documentation and system configurations
  • Provide 24/7 operational support for critical systems
  • Mentor team members on DevOps best practices

Technical Requirements

Minimum Qualification:
B.Tech/B.Sc in Computer Science + 6 years experience
OR B.Eng/B.Sc Honours + 4 years experience

Essential Skills:

  • Linux system administration
  • Python programming
  • Infrastructure & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, ELK Stack
  • Virtualization: OpenStack, Proxmox
  • Distributed Storage: Ceph, Lustre
  • Networking: Ethernet protocols and HPC clusters
