Required Qualifications

  • Matric Certificate (Essential)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF7) in Natural Sciences/Environmental Planning or related field
  • Senior Management Pre-entry Programme certification from National School of Government
  • Valid Driver’s License

Key Competencies

  • Expertise in environmental legislation and impact management systems
  • Proven track record in policy development and implementation
  • Strong understanding of government planning/budgeting processes
  • Experience in team leadership and capacity building

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction for environmental impact management programs
  • Oversee implementation of environmental legislation and frameworks
  • Develop monitoring systems for environmental compliance
  • Enhance municipal environmental management capabilities
  • Manage intergovernmental relations on environmental matters
