Minimum Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a Grade 12/Matric certificate
• Have at least six months of cleaning experience
• Be proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Have basic customer service skills
• Knowledge of an additional language relevant to the area is advantageous
• Willingness to work retail hours
• Bilingual candidates will be preferred
• Previous experience in cleaning within a retail environment is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

Successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that the store maintains a high level of cleanliness and hygiene. Key duties include:

• Performing daily cleaning routines to uphold store hygiene standards before opening hours
• Maintaining a clean and organized shop floor and communal areas
• Ensuring that canteen and restroom facilities are spotless and stocked with necessary supplies
• Being available throughout operational hours to handle cleaning tasks as needed
• Using the appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks
• Placing wet floor signs in visible locations when cleaning floors to ensure safety
• Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with customers
• Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations while performing cleaning tasks
