Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand is offering an exciting opportunity for a Finance Graduate to join their dynamic team. This role involves assisting with a variety of tasks within the finance department, including creditor account reconciliations, invoice capturing, debtors tasks, and other financial responsibilities as required. Key Responsibilities:

As a Finance Graduate, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring correct reconciliation of creditor payments.
  • Accurately capturing invoices and ensuring timely follow-up on workflows.
  • Performing invoice reductions for partially received invoices or those with price discrepancies.
  • Managing claims from suppliers and warehouses and obtaining credit notes when necessary.
  • Processing journals as needed and preparing creditor reconciliations on time.
  • Preparing payment requests with proper supporting documentation and ensuring they meet deadlines.
  • Filing creditor documentation accurately and maintaining organized records.
  • Reconciliation of high volumes of accounts weekly and monthly.
  • Assisting with daily data capturing tasks.
  • Ensuring all amounts loaded for payment have been approved by senior management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate.
  • Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform basic accounting calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Business financial skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Trustworthy, self-starting, diligent, and deadline-driven.

Advantageous:

  • Ability to communicate in a second language.
  • A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transport.

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a South African citizen or have a valid work permit.
  • A clear criminal and credit record is essential.
