A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Doctor Detail Representative to join their team in Gauteng, Pretoria This role is ideal for a motivated individual who excels in educating healthcare professionals, implementing marketing strategies, and driving product growth in the medical field.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Doctor Engagement & Product Promotion

  • Educate scripting doctors on the benefits and clinical advantages of the company’s products.
  • Strategically position the brand by highlighting its competitive edge with clinical evidence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with doctors through regular and well-planned visits.

🔹 Sales & Market Growth

  • Drive product market share growth by influencing prescribing patterns.
  • Ensure that products are readily available by coordinating with the sales team.
  • Conduct 9 doctor visits per day, with at least 75% appointment success rate.

🔹 Territory Management

  • Ensure coverage of 90% of assigned customers every six weeks.
  • Grade doctors based on priority (A: most important, B: secondary, C: additional).
  • Limit daily travel to a 120km radius to optimize efficiency.

🔹 Product Knowledge & Training

  • Stay updated with continuous product training.
  • Maintain a minimum of 85% on product assessments.
  • Attend regular training sessions to enhance knowledge and keep up with industry advancements.

🔹 Reporting & Administration

  • Complete weekly planners, track expenses, and plan country trips as required.
  • Log daily visits and provide feedback using Repwise and other reporting tools.
  • Utilize Power BI for data analysis and create actionable insights for better engagement with doctors.

🔹 Market Performance & Growth Strategy

  • Ensure each product meets its script target.
  • Work towards achieving the company’s goal of being the #1 prescribed brand in its category.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a medical-related field (Biokinetics, Physiotherapy, or similar).
Experience: Open to both rookie and experienced candidates.
Skills:

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A professional and presentable image is essential.

Travel Requirements:

🚗 This role requires 90% travel within the designated territory, including planned and ad-hoc business trips. Overnight stays may be necessary.
📜 A valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle is mandatory.
