Safety SA: Driver Trainer Contractor

Job Purpose
Deliver high-quality training in driving, lifting, and learnership programs in line with SafetyCloud’s Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards and SAQA/SETA/NOSA requirements. Ensure effective training facilitation, learner assessment, and compliance with Quality Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Training Preparation and Delivery
- Plan and deliver training sessions using approved materials.
- Ensure training equipment is ready and functional before each session.
- Adapt delivery to learners’ needs, addressing barriers like language or cultural differences.
Assessment and Moderation
- Conduct training and assessments according to SAQA/SETA/NOSA and QMS standards.
- Assess learners and provide constructive feedback confidentially.
- Maintain accurate and secure records of training evidence.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Maintain up-to-date records and reports on training and learners.
- Analyze training data and provide progress or completion reports.
- Ensure compliance with NOSA Quality Management Systems.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and meet project deadlines.
- Resolve client queries professionally.
- Promote additional training opportunities as appropriate.
Professional Development
- Engage in continuous learning through relevant courses and workshops.
- Stay updated on SAQA/SETA/NOSA standards and best practices in safety, health, and environment.
- Maintain valid assessor and moderator registrations.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric (preferred but not required)
Experience
- 2+ years of driver training experience
- 3+ years of industry experience
Accreditation
- Valid TETA Facilitator and Assessor certification
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems and training compliance
Other Requirements
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License with PRDP
- Reliable personal vehicle
