Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team in Umhlanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of team members, goods, and cargo, ensuring professional and efficient service delivery.

Key Requirements

– Minimum of 3 years driving experience
– Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years
– Valid Professional Driver’s Permit (PRDP)
– Strong geographical knowledge

Key Responsibilities

– Safely transport employees, customers, and goods as required
– Assist in warehouse duties and other ad-hoc tasks when driving duties are not required
– Conduct pre-trip, on-route, and post-trip inspections and report any defects
– Ensure vehicle is maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition
– Handle goods with care, ensuring accurate delivery and collection
– Complete all trips within scheduled times
– Report any accidents or incidents immediately and follow company procedures

Operational Duties

– Monitor and ensure goods match delivery documentation
– Contact depot if delayed by more than 30 minutes
– Carry and present a valid driver’s license, PRDP, and passport (if required)
– Follow all safety and health regulations strictly

Safety and Compliance

– Adhere to company policies and legal regulations
– Refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
– Use authorized routes and stopping points only

Professional Development

– Attend required training sessions
– Submit documents like leave forms and claims on time
– Report for duty punctually and maintain a neat appearance

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
– Results-driven with a professional demeanor
