Position Details
- Job Type: Full Time
- Qualification: National Certificate in Civil Engineering (3-year)
- Experience: 3+ years post-qualification
- Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
- Registration: ECSA Engineering Technician (Required)
- Driving License: Code B or higher (Required)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for road system development projects
- Conduct condition assessments for surfaced/gravel roads
- Assist engineers with technical designs and specifications
- Maintain system databases and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in road pavement design and geotechnical evaluation
- Strong knowledge of road construction materials
- Experience with quality control processes
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office suite)
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Field experience in road infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with GIS systems and database management
- Willingness to travel for site inspections
