Required Competencies

- Capacity to operate cleaning/mortuary equipment and work 12-hour shifts

Essential Knowledge
- Understanding of Batho Pele Principles
- Occupational Health & Safety compliance
- Basic waste management protocols
Key Responsibilities
Porter Services:
- Transport patients using medical equipment
- Handle corpse transfers to mortuary
- Maintain stretchers/wheelchairs
Laundry Operations:
- Manage linen inventory tracking
- Follow infection control protocols
- Maintain laundry equipment
Mortuary Support:
- Manage corpse storage/identification
- Maintain mortuary cleanliness
- Assist with body preparation
Facility Maintenance:
- Perform deep cleaning of medical areas
- Handle biohazard waste disposal
- Maintain general hospital cleanliness
