Road Accident Fund

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is dedicated to providing comprehensive cover, rehabilitation, and compensation for individuals affected by road accidents in South Africa. RAF is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join the Offer Management department in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary of R244,732.00 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Administrative Assistant in Offer Management, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting departmental operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records.

1. Compliance Administration

  • Maintain up-to-date written documentation of the department’s activities.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and process standards.
  • Stay informed on internal regulations and business objectives to ensure adherence.

2. Office Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Follow up on outstanding tasks and requests.
  • Ensure all requests are managed within deadlines.
  • Maintain adequate office supplies, including stationery.
  • Validate and verify submitted information before processing.
  • Keep internal registers and systems updated.
  • Identify and report duplicate requests or discrepancies.
  • Assign reference numbers and allocate matters to the appropriate team members.
  • Draft and send correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.

3. Meeting Support & Scheduling

  • Arrange departmental meetings and manage team schedules.
  • Assist with minute-taking and distribution according to governance protocols.
  • Maintain a register of outstanding matters and track resolutions.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups on meeting decisions.
  • Schedule appointments with stakeholders as required.

4. Document & Records Management

  • Administer records and filing systems in line with RAF policies.
  • Ensure easy retrieval of information when requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all documentation.
  • Accurately record and file incoming documents.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate (Essential).
  • 1 year of relevant administrative experience in a similar role.
