Role Purpose

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure in educational institutions. This involves coordinating ICT infrastructure projects, ensuring quality control, and providing technical support to enhance the digital learning experience in schools.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:
    • A three-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher) in IT or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of three years’ experience in network infrastructure management.
  • Preferred Qualifications & Additional Requirements:
    • A valid Code B (or higher) driver’s license.
    • ITIL v3 (or higher) certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • ICT Infrastructure Management:
    • Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of staff and contractors involved in network development.
    • Ensure the quality control and maintenance of ICT infrastructure.
  • Network Development & Optimization:
    • Design, implement, and maintain school network infrastructure for optimal performance.
    • Keep up-to-date with technical standards and procedures to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Prepare training manuals and technical documentation for network systems.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff and stakeholders on ICT-related matters.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Client Liaison:
    • Collaborate with client departments, schools, and external service providers to enhance ICT functionality.
    • Ensure stakeholder needs and priorities are addressed effectively.

  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Expertise in network infrastructure management and ICT infrastructure.
    • Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs), ICT policies, and industry trends.
  • Project & Financial Management:
    • Ability to oversee project execution, budgeting, and ICT investment planning.

    • Strong skills in planning, organizing, and implementing network solutions.
