Key Responsibilities
As a Service Advisor, your core responsibilities will include:
- Maximizing Service Sales: Utilizing professional sales techniques to increase service sales while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining Security: Safeguarding all payments, ensuring cash taken is properly handled and recorded.
- Customer Confidence: Creating confidence in the Hyundai brand by performing services with knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Customer Interactions: Engaging with customers courteously and efficiently, ensuring all their needs are met and their experience is seamless.
- Job Card Management: Recording and updating customer details, service history, and vehicle information accurately on job cards.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conducting a thorough physical inspection of vehicles with customers, noting damages and mileage during the inspection process.
- Ongoing Communication: Keeping clients informed throughout the day on the progress of their vehicle and ensuring follow-ups are completed promptly.
- Payment Verification: Ensuring that no vehicles are released without confirmed payment, and that all payment arrangements are discussed and confirmed before work begins.
- Legal Compliance: Ensuring all necessary CPA documentation is filled out and compliant with regulations.
- Quote Management: Strict adherence to company quoting policies and ensuring that all estimates are clear and correct before proceeding with work.
- Service Policies: Ensuring cash sale policies are followed, taking deposits where required, and making sure repair waiver forms are signed when needed.
- File Maintenance: Maintaining a thorough and up-to-date filing system, ensuring warranty job cards are provided to the Warranty Clerk daily and costings are done on time.
- Costing and Up-sell Communication: Accurately cost jobs and communicate upsell opportunities to the customer, ensuring proper authorizations are obtained.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Minimum Qualification: Matric or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry.
- Key Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proven experience in a service advisory or sales environment.
- Sound understanding of automotive services, including quoting, payments, and repair waivers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
